Add the Fig extension to your browser, create a free account and add a payment method. Don’t worry, you’ll only be charged at the end of the month for any purchases you choose to offset.
You can shop online as normal until you get to the checkout, where Fig will automatically calculate the carbon footprint of your purchase and show you the cost of balancing your impact.
If you want to offset, all you do is click to confirm and your offset is purchased instantly. Done!
Our AI model is constantly working to refine our estimates, using publicly available data on company emissions, industry sectors, and logistics to calculate the environmental impact of your purchase and the cost to offset it. And because transparency matters, every offset supports insured and verified environmental projects that actively remove carbon from the atmosphere.
The cost varies depending on what you buy and where you buy it. As an example, something that costs £10 on Amazon would cost around £0.29 to offset. You’ll always be able to see the cost before you choose to offset.
Not at all! Offsetting is completely optional.
Fig is free to add to your browser, and you only pay for the purchases you choose to offset at checkout. But that doesn’t mean a second offset payment leaving your account every time you shop, we only charge you once month for what you’ve chosen to offset over the last 30 days.
Yes! Your Fig dashboard shows your total offsets over time, meaning you can track (and celebrate) how much carbon you’ve balanced with your purchases.
There’s no minimum or maximum to how much carbon you can offset! Fig gives you the option to balance your impact every time you shop online.
