What fig Does
fig helps you to work out how much carbon dioxide (or equivalent gases) have been produced in making the goods you are purchasing and to purchase carbon offset credits to closely match that carbon dioxide so that your purchase becomes carbon neutral. The offset credits have been created by growing teak trees in Ghana by Mere Plantations Ltd because such trees and the roots which feed them naturally take in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen in order to grow. The calculations as to how much carbon dioxide the Mere Plantations Ltd trees take in each year are all certified by independent verifiers and are backed by insurance cover which will pay for the automatic replacement with other reputable carbon credits if necessary. You will always have the confidence that your purchases will be rendered carbon neutral when you buy carbon credits to offset your consumer purchases and fig will help you know that you will only ever buy as much as you need for each individual purchase. and registered find discounts, coupons, and offers when shopping online. Members can also earn loyalty points called "fig points". Some parts of the service might only be available in certain countries or through the browser extension. fig earns money from the sum paid by you for the carbon.
